One important point that often trips people up: we do not accept digital ID images or scans for this step. Only original, physical identification is accepted, no exceptions or workarounds.

Two Ways to Register - App or In Person

The app takes care of most of the data entry before you arrive. For most guests, that cuts down the time spent filling out forms at the desk and usually keeps the line moving a bit faster. Even so, the face-to-face step with a physical ID at the property is still compulsory. Your account will not be live until that is completed and you will not be able to access the gaming floor beforehand.

If you would prefer to leave your phone out of it, you can complete the Casino Crown Sydney create account process fully in person without using the app at all. Just come into Crown Sydney, head up to Level 2 and let the Crown Rewards team know that you want to apply for membership. Travelling by train, you can get off at Wynyard Station, use the Barangaroo exit and walk for roughly 10 minutes to reach the resort precinct. If you prefer ferries, Barangaroo Wharf is located very close to the property and Circular Quay is also within walking distance. Guests arriving by car can set their GPS to 1 Barangaroo Avenue and drive directly to the resort, where both valet and self-parking facilities are available on site.

Play Period Limits - Built Into the Membership

Crown Sydney has mandatory play period limits that apply to every member account. These settings are built into our operating model and are not something you can switch off from your profile. They apply automatically once your Crown Sydney membership is active.

The daily play limit is set at 12 hours within any single calendar day. Alongside that, the weekly limit is 48 hours of play within any rolling 7-day window. Once you reach either of these thresholds, your play must pause for the remainder of that daily or weekly period. There are no variations to this based on your membership tier, visit history, or any other factor.
